  1. I love to research. It has been so invigorating. I have found many things about this graphic medium. Cartoon pictuers have dated back all the way to the 1700's when Benjamin Franklin published POOR RICHARD'S ALMANAC. Then THE YELLOW KID appeared in 1895, and quickly became the first successfully merchandised comic strip character. This was created by Richard Outcault.
    Have a grand day! toota'loo

  2. So yeah, I know the definitions of comics, comix, and graphic novels! It is very exciting!
I am also working on discovering the TRUTH behind the 'golden age' and these so called super heroes.

  6. I too am very happy that I know those definitions. I had no idea what comix were. They are underground comics; however, they were more socially relevant. They are like indie films in the film industry.

  7. I decided to research on Frederick Wertham and how he's an idiot and full of bologna for thinking comics "seduce" the innocent, that doesn't even make sense since comics don't seduce you to do anything. I think at the time, the government was trying to blame delinquency on something fun such as comics. Our government continues this wonderful act by blaming video games, movies, and censoring TV today.

  8. Oh I also forgot to mention the censoring of music, in particular rap music which is also something the government today likes to put blame on just like Frederick Wertham and Comix back in the late 50's

  9. Our project is just about ready. I am going to finish the power point during this period. We have our notecards. Our pictures are all set and our main project looks pretty good right now. I am worried that Dan Goldman will not be able to present tomorrow. I am glad our project turned out so well.
